We already knew about the keychain for the physical version, but the digital version will come with its own bits of exclusive content: a Sonic “movie boost” that adds the electric sparks from the Sonic movie, and “exclusive player icons,” which are supposed to help you “stand out in a crowd,” though I’m not really sure what they actually are.
The game will also launch both physically and digital for $39.99. So they have a lot of experience with this kind of project! It is being developed by Blind Squirrel Entertainment, a development studio more recently known for its work on BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands: Game of the Year Enhanced Edition, and Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
